- A weekly visit to your backyard by RUF to assess condition of crops which will include weed and pest management, succession planting, composting and mulching.
- Our experience and knowledge on a variety of farming methods to promote healthy plants, soil, and ecosystem.
- A weekly household share of seasonal vegetables.
- RUF Community events such as a sunflower growing competition, summer bake-off, and special workshops.
- Seasonal application of compost tea on other shrubs and perennials.
Joining the Farm:
- Contact Rad Urban Farmers and set up an initial site assessment meeting.
- Agree on terms of use, layout, access and work schedule, water usage, and compensation.
- Installation will begin as soon as soil temp and moisture content are adequate for workability.
-Maintenance will take place throughout the season to ensure good caretaking.
-Harvesting will coincide with watering and weeding duties throughout the growing season.
-Season wrap will consist of decommissioning plots, leveling, and winterizing the irrigation system.
